5 Different Things to do in Las Vegas

Traveling to Las Vegas

Viva Las Vegas! The city that hardly sleeps and runs off an alcohol induced stupor. With shopping, indulging and sights of all kinds what more could you ask for?

Ok, really though. What can you do in this city that you may not already know about?

1. Ziplining

Yes, you can totally zip line in Las Vegas and I'm not talking about that one we've all seen on t.v. in Fremont Street. VooDoo Zipline offers a slightly different way to zip line for a great price and you get to see things the Fremont people don't.

2. Venetian Spa

Awhile ago I was looking for great getaway ideas for mine and my husband's anniversary. I came across a lot of spas, but all of them seemed pretty paltry compared to this one. So if you want to pamper yourself, and get your money's worth, I recommend checking out the Venetian one called Canyon Ranch SpaClub. If you don't like the price but still want the spa, I'll share this secret: you can stay at the Palazzo and still have the same access since they are partners. The Palazzo, thankfully, does not carry the same room price as the Venetian.

3. Mob Museum

You've probably heard about Madame Tussaude's in Las Vegas, but I bet you've never heard about the Mob Museum. While this stop may be a little nerdy, they often host cool parties and events that will have even the skeptic in your group having fun. Check out their website for more info on the Museum and their list of events.

4. Horse races and exhibitions at South Point

It has been rumored that South Point has ceased their horse activities, if so, we apologize. However, if you've never stayed at the South Point, you're missing out. They have bowling, bingo, and a movie theater all located in the hotel. This is a great place to stay if you want a little Vegas but not a lot of Strip action. They also have a few really nice restaurants in the main gambling hall (we recommend the cute 50's themed one.)

5. The Exhibits at the Luxor

I have always been a huge fan of the Luxor despite never having stayed there (yet!) Did you know that the Luxor has been host of the world famous Bodies exhibit as well as the Titanic exhibit? Not to mention they have some pretty fun arcade/rides themselves and a pretty awesome food court nearby. Everytime we go we see the Titanic exhibit, as I am a giant buff. The best part, is every time we go, it's a little bit different so if you've seen it before try going again. If neither of those things are your cup of tea...the Luxor is also home to the Blue Man Group, which boasts the most fantastic entertainment.
